    The sun threw a straight line over the coast. From above, only five small dots were distinguished, moving slowly between sand and soft vegetation. A few hours had passed since break of dawn but the group of five dots had set motion way before night had started to lose its darkness.

    The arrival

    It was late at night when the captain shouted the order to drop anchor. Just a few hours earlier we were given instructions to be confined to our quarters, with no exceptions, and just leave whenever the crew came for us, saying it was safe. It was the first time I saw a glimpse of fear on the captain’s face.
